AT LAST, the "Planning" section of our blog begins. This means the commencement of the long awaited task sir Zia kept on telling us from the start of A1,THE 6 MINUTE EXERCISE. At first, we were spared no details about this exercise (sir gatekeeps a LOT), but after much prying we got know what the hype was all about. In summary, this is an exercise which involves creative thinking, (luck), narrative skills, (luck), andddd storytelling ability. Did i emphasise on the luck factor much? So basically small chits are made that fall into three groups, character type, random object, and a location. Each group has to pick up a chit each randomly from all three piles and make a film opening sequence out of it in 6 minutes (as the name suggests).

Fatima, Rija and I each took one from each pile and here's what we got.... *insert drumroll.... JOCK GLASSES BUNKER

Our reaction video:

The first minute of this exercise was spent laughing on the weird yet interesting combo we received, after which we started making up a story to present later on. After coming up with a solid idea, the minute Rija started to write down what we'd decided on, the 6 minutes were up. Guess now we just had to wing it :)

Sooo, our story started of with a jock who used to be great at being popular (no surprise, right) and used to suck at academics (so much for innovation). Anyways after been giving a kicking off the sports team penalty if grades didn't go up, the jock went up to his house's attic in search of a history textbook. There, lying in dirt, he found a pair of glasses, that were a bit odd looking, something like a not-of-this-time product.

Out of curiosity, the jock put on the glasses and felt lightheaded almost instantly. Next thing he found out was that he had been transported into a bunker from the world war one. Here the opening sequence would end with a cliffhanger. This story seemed quite impressive to us as it was our first (plus we had winged it so that counts for something).

This wasn't just an exercise for our group, it literally made an impact on all three of us hence THE NAME OF OUR GROUP CHAT:

This truly was an amazing task and will stick with us till this group chat lives. (forever).
